Challenge Walk

Bury St Edmunds Rugby Club was the start and finish for the Challenge Walk of 42km, Medium Walk of 25km and Short Walk of
10km. The event was raising money for various forces charities through its entry fees and sponsorship of walkers.

Below are the full results of the 2011 event, congratulations and thanks to everyone who took part in this event to help the charities.



2011 Challenge Walk Gallery

All three walks followed the same route through Bury St Edmunds, discovering various Suffolk Regiment connections,
There was checkpoints in the Suffolk Regiment Museum and Moyse's Hall Museum.


Also passed during the walks was the impressive Boer War Memorial on Cornhill, erected in 1904, the Suffolk Regiment Homes
a pair of houses opened in 1904 as a practical Boer War memorial for ex-servicemen and a rare survival of a street war
memorial dating from 1920 in St Edmunds Place.

44K/26 miles register from
7.30am, start at 8.30am

25K/15 miles register from
8.30am, start at 9.30am

10K/6 miles guided Blue Badge walk, register from 9.30am,
start at 10am

Runners:
44K/26 miles register from
8.30am, start at 9.30am

25K/15 miles register from
9.30am, start at 10.30am

Everyone to have completed
the course by 19.00pm
